Blu Hotel Morisco

The room was comfortable but unlike proper 4 star, there are no coffee makers. The sofas in the room was out of place and worn. We found the room had ample space and sufficient hangers in the wardrobe and safe. Has a fridge which didn't disturb us. Nice balcony. Seems clean and the pool looks well presented. Staff friendly except when they're telling guests off, yes, the Italian temperament, they can lose their manners. The food is frankly terrible, pasta sauces made with no care so taste bland, why bother serving pasta that you don't want to cook properly. Lack of choice, had fish just once, seems that you should just eat antipasti. No soft drinks with meals at dinner, strange. No signage with the drink taps available hence why I witnessed someone being scolded. Close to the marina and a lovely walk along but only a few shops, restaurants and a supermarket.

We visited in July 23, hotel is very nice, however I would not describe it as 4 stars. Staff are very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked half-board and the biggest positive for us was the lovely food. I spoke to the manager of the restaurant and ask her to give my regards to the chef. The main reason booking this place was the positive restaurant reviews from previous guests, having a very fussy teenager. Pool was clean, not too busy most of the time. Internet is good, air con was not working well, we needed maintenance to tweak it a bit to work a bit better. Location is great if you have a car and would like to explore the nearby villages, beaches and towns. It is a beautiful island worth visiting.
